News Desk: Bihar is developing in every field these days. In particular, more attention is being paid to the railways. Under Station Purna Vikas Yojana, 7 railway stations of the state will be made world class. These places include Gaya, Rajendra Nagar Terminal, Muzaffarpur, Begusarai, Sitamarhi, Darbhanga and Barauni railway stations. Apart from this, the neighboring state of Jharkhand’s Dhanbad and UP’s Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction are also in this scheme.
It is to be known that under the station redevelopment scheme, out of 10 railway stations of East Central Railway, 7 stations will be in Bihar. All the stations included in this list are to be given a state-of-the-art and world class look. Along with this, apart from Dhanbad in Jharkhand, DDU in Uttar Pradesh, Singrauli railway station of Madhya Pradesh is also to be made world class.
World class passenger amenities will be provided at these stations along with safety, better and pleasant travel experience to the passengers. The station will be converted into a green building with better ventilation facilities. Malls and multipurpose buildings are also proposed at these stations on railway land. The station will be developed keeping in mind the solar energy, energy efficiency equipment and ‘Green Building’ standards.
Every better facility will be available for the passengers at these state-of-the-art stations. The station will have access control gates as well as escalators and lifts at each platform. Passengers will get food, washroom, drinking water, ATM, internet facility. There will be a separate facility for senior citizens. There will be a ramp for the differently-abled, Braille script, so that their journey can be better.
