The Dulhin Bazar area of Patna woke up to a flurry of bullets late on Friday night. It is being said that there was fierce firing due to election rivalry. In this, one person died on the spot, while the other is injured. He has been referred to PMCH in Patna for treatment, where his condition is said to be critical.
Died in election rivalry
Panchayat elections are over in Bihar but the electoral rivalry is not taking the name of ending. Every day one gets to see, hear and read the news of murder in election dispute in one or the other area. A similar incident has happened in Sabajpura village of Dulhin Bazar police station in Patna. Where a man was shot dead late on Friday night.
Murder in ward councilor’s fight
According to the information received from the villagers, there was already a dispute going on in Sabajpura village regarding the selection of ward members. After the elections were over, the controversy deepened. There used to be fights every day between the two sides of the village over some issue or the other. On Friday evening too, there was a dispute between the two sides regarding the same election. The dispute escalated so much that the matter reached till the shooting.
Police doing camp in the village
In the firing in Sabajpura, Prahlad Singh of the village was shot three times by miscreants of one side. Due to this he died on the spot. While a youth Ankur Kumar alias Anshu Kumar was seriously injured. The criminals fled from the spot after carrying out the incident. Police Station Ashok Kumar told that the whole matter is of electoral rivalry. Police is probing the matter at every point. At present, the police has reached the spot and started investigating the matter.
