- New feature can be found on Instagram
- Customers may get new update soon
- This feature can give competition to Tik Tok
Let us tell you that this feature supports vertical scrolling instead of horizontal scrolling as you have seen in many apps before. The company is also rolling out cross-post views from Facebook. It is not clear whether this single testing is limited to a single region or will be made available globally.
As reported by 9To5Mac.A, as reported by social media consultant Matt Navarra, some users based in Turkey have received an Instagram update that brings vertical scrolling to Stories.
While stories from the same user can still be viewed by tapping on the left or right side of the screen, to go to the next user’s stories will need to be swiped down.
As per the report, tech journalist Thassius Veloso also received the same update in Brazil, which suggests that Instagram is rolling out the new vertical scrolling design to more countries.
The report states that the change probably comes as an attempt to compete with TikTok, which already offers vertical scrolling in its app. Instagram is also making it possible to see a list of Facebook viewers when you post a story on both platforms. This further strengthens the integration between the two services. It is unclear whether this is a gradual, limited rollout. Meta has already added support for direct messaging Facebook users to Instagram and vice versa. So this new change is not surprising at all, as Meta has been closing the gap between them in different ways for some time.
